After arriving in Hong Kong and collecting your luggage, you will have to pass through Customs before getting to the Arrival Hall. Visitors should take the Green Channel if they have nothing to declare. Prohibited items are drugs, psychotropic substances, controlled chemicals, antibiotics, arms, ammunition, weapons, fireworks, strategic commodities, rough diamonds, animals, plants, endangered species, telecommunication equipment, game, meat, poultry, eggs and powdered formula.
Visitors aged 18 and above are allowed to bring 1 liter of liquor with an alcoholic strength above 30%, exempted from duty. Anything more must be declared in the Red Channel.
Visitors aged 18 and above are allowed to bring 19 cigarettes, 1 cigar, or 25 grams of other manufactured tobacco into Hong Kong. Anything more must be declared in the Red Channel. It is advisable to not exceed the limit to avoid paying very high charges.
